DISCOVER everything you need to know about volunteering at our Crookes shop as we host a special open day on Thursday October 20.
Our flagship store – part of our chain of 13 shops across the city - currently has opening for volunteers in a full range of areas, including sorting, stockroom, till operation, visual merchandising, cleaning, PAT testing and assisting in the neighbouring furniture shop.
The open day will provide a chance to meet the Crookes team, chat to volunteers, have a tour of the shop, furniture department and stockroom and ask questions about the roles available.
“Our shops across Sheffield are a vital resource to enable us to generate income and help us continue to be there for Sheffield people when they need us most,” said our Volunteer Development Manager Francesca Bradshaw.
“We couldn't do what we do without our wonderful volunteers and whether you're new to Sheffield or new to volunteering, we have the role for you so come along and meet the friendly team.
“You could be helping with everything from unpacking donations and categorising donations, to serving customers at the till, to organising the shop floor and creating beautiful window displays.”
