Asking friends and family to make a donation in lieu of flowers at a funeral service or a remembrance event is a lovely way to celebrate the life of a loved one, whilst also raising vital funds for our patient care.
Donation envelopes
We can provide you with donation envelopes which can be personalised with your loved one's name.
These can be given to people as they enter or leave the service or placed on the seats at the venue. Our donation envelopes make it easy for friends and family to let us know if their donation is eligible for Gift Aid increasing the value of each donation.
Arranging a collection online
Creating a tribute fund is a great way to celebrate the life of a loved one, and allows anyone who can’t be with you on the day of the Funeral to make a donation, share a message or a memory. Offline donations collected at the funeral can also be added to this fund.
Funeral directors
If you’d like to ask a funeral director to help you collect donations, they are usually happy to help with this. You can provide them with our contact details and we’ll be happy to assist them if they need any help from us.
Funeral directors can no longer pay cash in to the bank using our St Luke’s paying in slips. Please forward donations to us via bank transfer, online, by card, over the phone or arrange to bring donations to the hospice.
