Sheffield musicians have helped raise more than £2,000 for St Luke’s as Minnie’s Fest returned to Stannington in July this year.
The popular annual music festival, which has become a highlight in Stannington’s local calendar, was held at The Rose and Crown pub, known locally as Minnie’s.
Organised by pub owner Mick Mosley and his son, Tom, Minnie’s Fest has been running since 2015, missing only one year in that time due to covid, making this year its 10th anniversary.
The day sees many local musicians performing throughout the day, and it all cumulated in an amazing fundraising total for St Luke’s.
Mick & Tom decided to start supporting St Luke’s through the event in 2023 and this is the third year that St Luke’s have received donations from the event. This year the event raised £2,620 through fundraising on the day as well as donations from local businesses and match funding through those who volunteer on the day. Over the years, they have now raised over £7,000 for St Luke’s.
“We are so grateful for the continued support from Minnie’s Fest and the Stannington community,” said our Community & Events Fundraising Manager, Katie Fielding.
“And the fantastic total raised on the day really will make an enormous difference to the lives of all our patients and families.”
