Two new short films promoting the services and support offered by St Luke’s to people living in Sheffield will premiere at Meadowhall on October 25 and 26.
St Luke’s is one of several community organisations taking part in the special two-day event, the Reach Out Community Information Roadshow.
It will be a chance for visitors to the shopping centre to meet members of the St Luke’s team and find out more about the charity’s services and how those services need the continued support of the people of Sheffield.
And throughout the two days of the event, there will be a chance to see two short films – one featuring staff and patients talking about their St Luke’s experience and the other promoting the popular St Luke’s Lottery which raises almost £1million each year for St Luke’s.
The Roadshow is being held in the Meadowhall Lower Mall. Close to JD Sport, Greggs and Subway.
“We are delighted to have been invited to take part in the Roadshow, which will give us a great opportunity to meet so many people and talk about our full range of services, which are given without charge to all the people of Sheffield who need them,” said our Chief Executive and Chief Nurse Jo Lenton.
“Over the two days we’ll have a mix of clinical staff present to talk about those services, along with our Volunteering team, who will be able to explain how to get involved in the life of St Luke’s and, of course, our fundraisers, who work so hard to support the many people who raise the £10.5 million we need to raise this year to keep the hospice open.
“And the two short films, being screened regularly through the Roadshow, will provide a great insight into everything we are doing for the people of Sheffield and how the people of Sheffield can support us.”
