POP in to Crystal Peaks and join the volunteer force helping to get our retail operations running again.
As our Crystal Peaks shop gets sets for an April post lockdown re-launch - along with the rest of the chain of 13 stores - an appeal has gone out for extra volunteer support.
“If you are looking for new opportunities, a chance to be part of a fantastic team, develop new skills and support a great cause, then please do get in touch as our Crystal Peaks shop really does need you,” said our Senior Volunteer Coordinator Francesca Bradshaw.”
“We have so many different roles available and there really is a volunteer role for everyone.”
Before the pandemic took hold, our shops were raising almost £3 million towards the annual £10 million cost of running the charity and the aim is to get the operation running at full strength again as quickly as possible once lockdown restrictions start to ease.
"Our shops provide a vital fundraising stream for the hospice and volunteering for three to four hours per week can have a massive impact, helping us to build towards a more secure and successful future," Francesca said.
Volunteer opportunities are available at the St Luke's shops in Abbeydale, Broomhill, Chapeltown, City Road, Crookes, e-trading, Ecclesall Road, Firth Park, Gleadless, Hillsborough Nether Edge, Stocksbridge and Woodseats.
“We are also recruiting volunteers to help us in our busy Donation Centre close to Meadowhall,” said Francesca.
“This is the hub for the majority of our donations and we need help greeting customers, accepting donations and sorting and processing stock ready to distribute to our shops.”
