WHEN staff at the Hair and Beauty at Slimming World salon heard how the St Luke's team needed extra surgical masks, they immediately offered their support.
The salon’s beauty specialists use masks when they are carrying out intimate procedures like lash extensions.
But with the Alfreton business currently unable to take bookings, they were happy to donate remaining supplies to St Luke’s.
“We can’t use them right now so it make perfect sense for us to give them to somebody who does need them,” said senior stylist Diane Shooter.
Our Director of Care and Lead for Healthcare Partnerships Jo Lenton commented: “As we continue to maintain our excellent levels of service for the people of Sheffield this kind of support is invaluable.
“The whole team would like to thank Hair and Beauty at Slimming World for thinking of us at this difficult time and they can be assured that their donation makes an enormous difference.
“It is becoming increasingly difficult for us to source our regular essential clinical supplies and something we are in particular need of is surgical masks - the same masks often used in beauty salons, tattoo studios, vets and dentists.
“If your business has spare masks that you could donate to our clinical teams, please message us.”
