BUILDING company Enhance and Develop has teamed up with kitchen suppliers Howdens to offer customers a special offer in support of St Luke’s.
For every kitchen that is measured at Howdens Dronfield via Enhance and Develop, a £10 donation will be made and for every kitchen ordered a further £50 donation will be made.
The scheme is the brainchild of Enhance and Develop Managing Director Charles Ellis, whose mum was a St Luke’s patient and he got the fundraising going with his own £250 donation.
Charles said: “St Luke’s is such a special place for so many people in and around Sheffield and the care that they provide to both patients and their families is vital.
“For the past thirteen years, since my mums death, I have regularly given to St Luke’s and I am hoping that by involving my business in this way, I will be able to support St Luke’s further, along with highlighting the wonderful work this charity does.”
Howdens Depot Manager Brad Page commented: “St Luke’s is such a fantastic charity and when Charles spoke to us about supporting them, everyone was 100 per cent behind helping out as much as we possibly could.
“Being a local business to Dronfield and Sheffield we try to support as many local charities as we can.
“We believe local charities need local support and hope everyone gets behind us in raising as much money as possible.”
Our Corporate Fundraising Manager Jack Kidder added: “Charles wanted to give something back to St Luke’s in memory of his mum and we are delighted that he has chosen to support us in this ingenious way.
“This unusual approach to fundraising really will make a big difference to the lives of all St Luke’s patients.”
