The annual Sheffield Charity Construction Ball has raised £33,000 for St Luke’s…the highest amount the annual charity ball has raised since it began in 2001.
Jointly organised by Arup, HLM Architects and Rider Levett Bucknall, the Ball has firmly established itself as a must-attend event within the local construction industry, and this year sold out in record time, hosting 300 people from firms across the industry.
The donations from this year’s Ball, sponsored by Anderson Green, Eastwood & Partners, CMS, Bond Bryan Architects and Edge, brings the total amount of funds raised for local charities over the past 19 years to £299,000.
Our Corporate Fundraising Manager, Jack Kidder, commented: “Everyone at St Luke’s is hugely grateful for the support of the Construction Ball Committee and the amazing generosity of the guests at this year’s event.
“We rely on the support of the business community in Sheffield to enable us to continue providing our essential care to our patients and their loved ones.
“We have been inspired by the support received from the Construction Ball and we are so grateful for the huge impact it will have on our work. Thank you.”
The organisers added: “We are thrilled with the success of the Sheffield Charity Construction Ball and want to say a massive thank you to the sponsors and all who attended and supported the Ball.
“To be able to raise such an amount for a truly worthy charity is fantastic and the generosity of the region’s construction industry is testament to the commitment it has to supporting local causes.”
