SOME of the leading names in international cricket visited St Luke’s to make a donation of $10,000 - which is almost £8,000 sterling.
The International Cricket Council Elite Panel of Cricket Umpires includes St Luke’s patron and active supporter Richard Kettleborough.
And he was joined by fellow umpire Richard Illingworth and coach Denis Burns as they presented the major donation and met St Luke’s staff.
“This was an important visit for St Luke’s and we would like thank the ICC team for their support and for taking the time to visit,” said our Chief Executive Peter Hartland.
“To have an international sporting organisation of the stature of the ICC supporting us means so much to the charity and its patients and families.
“Richard Kettleborough is a valued patron and without his support this fantastic donation would not have been possible.”
