MEMBERS of FITFIT gym put themselves through a gruelling 24 hours of training as they raised money for two of Sheffield’s top charities.
The fitness challenge at the Tankersley gym was organised by business owner Katie Ford in memory of her friend, well known Sheffield businesswoman Deborah Holmes, who was a St Luke’s patient.
And the marathon session raised a final total of £8,565.48, which is being shared by St Luke’s and Bluebell Wood Children’s Hospice.
“This was a great achievement by a group of people who all wanted to do something in memory of Deborah,” said our Corporate Fundraising Manager Jack Kidder.
“The money they raised really will make an enormous difference to the lives of people who, like Deborah, need the support of St Luke’s.”
