Gin, jazz and a great afternoon of summer fun

As part of World Gin Day on June 8, Sheffield based furniture retailer Ponsford is hosting its second annual afternoon of gin, jazz and fundraising for St Luke’s.

Last year’s debut event raised more than £1,200 for our services and the Ponsford team are hoping to raise even more this year with all profits from the event at the company’s London Road showroom going directly to St Luke’s patient care.

“This year, with flavoured gins becoming all the rage, we will have eight fabulous flavours from all across the globe for people who attend to sample,” said Managing Director Angus Ponsford.

“On top of that there will be a welcome drink on arrival - G&T of course - along with lots of nibbles laid out to enjoy and soak up some of the alcohol!

“Most importantly, all the money we make through tickets will benefit this fantastic local charity who we are proud to be partnering with.”

Royal Northern College of Music trained pianist James Barnett will be playing throughout the afternoon, which runs from 1pm to 4pm, and there will also be a raffle to win a hamper full of goodies – and gin!

Tickets cost £10 per person and are available now through Gin and Jazz, with some tickets also available to buy in-store.
