OUR Corporate Fundraising Manager and keen runner Jack Kidder has celebrated a year of supporting the charity by raising £2,800.
Dronfield based Jack decided last year that he would celebrate his 28th birthday by beginning 12 months of fundraising for St Luke's.
Along the way he completed a tough run round the St Luke’s shops – covering 32 miles in just one day – and competed in a host of challenge events, including a selection of Park Runs, the Totley AC Fell Running Series, Half Marathons and a Marathon.
And his final event, annual Derbyshire Fell Race the Tigger Tor, saw him crash through his £2,800 target as he celebrated his 29th birthday.
“I am so truly delighted to have completed the challenge and so very grateful to all those people who have supported me along the way both financially and with great patience as I talked in great detail about fell runs and other running events,” said Jack.
“It feels incredible to have hit my target, though there is still time to make a final donation and make a real difference to the lives of all our St Luke’s patients and their families.”
