The invaluable contribution of both our staff and volunteers has been recognised at one of the city’s biggest award ceremonies.
We picked up the Sheffield Volunteering Award at the Make a Difference Awards, hosted by Voluntary Action Sheffield.
The honour recognised the way we work with our volunteers and the mutual benefits of volunteering.
More than 300 people from 60 local groups were joined by local civic leaders and dignitaries to celebrate the achievements of the shortlisted organisations and winners at the ceremony at the University of Sheffield Octagon Centre.
“Our volunteers are vital to the continued success of everything we do at St Luke’s,” said our Volunteer Development Manager Joy Wigfield.
“We are delighted that the work we do with this incredible group of people was recognised by the award’s judges and we hope our success will encourage other people who may have been giving some of their time to come and join us.
“There are so many ways that people can become a part of the St Luke’s team and we welcome enquiries at all times.”
