CITY land, property and construction company Henry Boot PLC is celebrating more than a year of fundraising for St Luke’s by sponsoring our 21st anniversary Festival of Light.
The company’s Rebuilding Lives Project, which ran through 2017, showcased the vital work of the St Luke’s Bereavement Team, with Henry Boot’s support enabling the valuable work we do for people in the community to continue and develop.
And that support for the work we're doing throughout Sheffield is continuing with the sponsorship for our annual Festival of Light on December 2.
It’s 21 years this December since we held our first Festival of Light in our gardens at Little Common Lane.
It’s a chance for the whole Sheffield community to join us in a light-filled celebration for the whole family to enjoy and this year the lights will shine out from December 2, when BBC Radio Sheffield presenter and keen St Luke’s supporter Paulette Edwards will once again be hosting the evening and invite a St Luke’s patient to flick the switch at 6.15pm.
The crowds will start to assemble from 4.30pm to enjoy complimentary mulled wine, hot drinks and enjoy the festive flavour of some seasonal favourites.
Adding to the special atmosphere, there will be music from Oughtibridge Brass Band and Sheffield Harmony Choir.
“Last year’s Festival of Light raised a fantastic £54,000 for our patient services and with the support of Henry Boot we are confident that our 21st anniversary year will be bigger and better than ever before,” said our Corporate Fundraising Manager Jack Kidder.
“This is without doubt one of our best loved events and we are delighted that after such a great fundraising campaign with Rebuilding Lives, Henry Boot are continuing to support us in this way.”
“Henry Boot are always delighted to support St Luke’s and the fantastic care they provide to their patients,” said Group Finance Director of Henry Boot PLC, Darren Littlewood.
“The relationship we built throughout the Rebuilding Lives campaign remains strong, with regular contact in place to make sure we can provide support whenever possible.
“We look forward to coming together with St Luke’s and the Sheffield community to remember loved ones in this year’s Festival of light.”
