LAWYER Jess King is heading from Yorkshire to the Big Apple as she aims to raise money for her two favourite charities.
Jess, a Junior Lawyer at the Sheffield offices of CMS, only recently completed the York Marathon.
And now she is aiming to cross the finish line of the New York Marathon as she takes to the streets of Manhattan this Sunday, November 4.
She is running to raise money for both St Luke’s and also for Project Sulangan, a charity which helps to provide and improve education for children in the Philippines.
Her efforts have already raised more than £1,400 and she has set herself a target of £2,000.
“We are so pleased that Jess has decided to run on behalf of St Luke’s,” our Corporate Fundraising Manager Jack Kidder.
“Running two marathons almost back to back is a great effort and will make a real difference both to our patients and to Jess’s other chosen charity.”
