A ball at Sheffield’s Royal Victoria Holiday Inn will celebrate the life of St Luke’s patient Craig Parkin.
Mother and daughter Cathie and Hannah Parkin are hosting the September 14 event in support of St Luke’s and in recognition of the support the family received during Craig's illness.
The evening will include drinks on arrival, a three course dinner, entertainment featuring champion Irish dancers, live music from singer Paul Pashley, a charity auction, a raffle and a disco.
‘We wanted to host an event to give something back to the incredible people who cared for Dad and supported our family through such a difficult time,” said Cathie.
“Not only did they offer such amazing physical care but they gave such comfort and support mentally to dad and the whole family.
“The work the staff and volunteers do at St Luke’s is so effortless and selfless, nothing is ever too much and we couldn’t have coped without them.
“If we can give another family the opportunity to make their life a little easier and experience the care, compassion and comfort we did we will be over the moon.
“We can’t thank St Luke’s enough for the fantastic work they do.”
Tickets cost £45 per person or £600 for a VIP table of ten and are available via email at: [email protected]
