THE National Citizenship Service has raised more than £1,000 for our patient services after completing three 10 mile sponsored walks.
The NCS is a voluntary personal and social development programme for 15 to 17 year olds, giving them the chance to develop life skills through a series of team building exercises.
A South Yorkshire group decided as part of their involvement in the scheme to support St Luke’s with three sponsored walks, raising a total of £1,004.47.
“This was a truly outstanding effort,” said our Community Fundraising Assistant Karan Taylor.
“We are delighted that the NCS team decided to give us their support and their efforts will make an enormous difference to the lives of all St Luke’s patients.”
