IT’S the Great British Bake Off…with just a couple of unexpected extra ingredients.
For beneath the celebrity masks are our Corporate Fundraising manager Jack Kidder playing Paul Hollywood and Simon Debell, Contact Manager at insurance brokers Gallagher, as an unlikely Mary Berry.
Team members across the insurance and risk management company spent a whole week cooking up some tasty treats for the hospice fundraiser which was co-ordinated by Claims Handler Natalie Worth.
Their efforts raised more than £300, which will be going direct to our patient care.
Gallagher — the brand name for the international division of Arthur J. Gallagher & Co. (NYSE: AJG) outside of the United States – specialises in risk management and insurance solutions for commercial and personal customers.
“I've had some bizarre and wonderful experiences as a fundraiser for St Luke's but dressing up as Paul Hollywood has got to be up there with the most unusual,” said Jack.
“Events like this are the perfect demonstration of what is great about corporate fundraising, with teamwork and healthy competition combined to raise funds for a vital local cause while colleagues have fun together!”
Natalie Worth at Gallagher’s Sheffield office, added: “We’re delighted to be able to help support and raise funds for St. Luke’s.
“As a community broker, first and foremost, we believe in giving something back where we can and recognise the invaluable support that an organisation like St. Luke’s provides to local families in their time of need.”
