SoloProtect announced as one of the sponsors for Night Strider 2017

20 September 2017

Lone worker specialists SoloProtect, will be partnering us for the upcoming Night Strider event, after announcing it will be one of our sponsors.

Sheffield’s only walking half marathon, and 10k event returns on Saturday 7 October.

Night Strider, which will set off from Tudor Square in Sheffield city centre, will welcome more than 1,000 participants to the streets of Sheffield to support our patients and their families.

Last year the event raised over £138,000 and SoloProtect have become one of the key sponsors to help us reach a similar target this year.

As well as being one of the key event sponsors, SoloProtect will provide a team of volunteers, to help keep the thousands of walkers hydrated, by manning a participants’ ‘Pit Stop’ at the entrance to Endcliffe Park, at Hunter’s Bar roundabout.

Rob Harris, SoloProtect Senior Marketing Manager, who will be one of several volunteers working late into the night, feels it’s important for SoloProtect to support such a worthy cause.

“We’ve worked with St Luke’s for several years, and wanted to support one of our long-term, local customers. Night Strider is a great event, and seemed the perfect way to do that, so we’re delighted to be involved in such a worthy cause,” he said.

Our Corporate Fundraising Manager Jack Kidder commented: “We are delighted that SoloProtect have joined us as sponsors for one of the biggest fundraising events in our calendar.”

“The company support our community team of lone workers throughout the year, and now they will be providing vital support for our walkers as they complete the challenge of being St Luke’s Night Striders.”
