SHEFFIELD schoolgirl Lauren Houghton gave a major boost to St Luke’s when she hosted her own very special fundraising evening.
Lauren, who is 13, knows all about our work as her grandad Clive is currently a patient, while mum Julie is part of our housekeeping team.
And that is why Lauren decided to hold a fundraising event at the Forest pub in Rutland Road, raising a final total of £590.
As well as live music, the evening also included a raffle with prizes donated from many local businesses and friends.
“Lauren is absolute proof that you’re never too young to do something really special,” said our Community Fundraiser Noni Bryson.
“We are delighted that she and her family have chosen to support us in this very special way.”
