IT’S one of the things we all know we should do…yet more than 60 per cent of British people still don’t have a will!
But now we are joining forces with some of Sheffield’s leading law firms to help making a will easier – and boost funds for our patient care.
St Luke’s Will Month is a partnership between the hospice and ten top solicitors, running for a strictly limited period throughout the whole of April.
Participating firms include Bell and Buxton, Best Solicitors, Coates, hlw Keeble Hawson, Norrie Waite and Slater, PM Law, SSB Law, Taylor Bracewell, Taylor and Emmet and Rosalind Watchorn.
The idea is simple – the participating solicitor of your choice draws up a basic will in return for a donation to St Luke’s.
Suggested minimum donations are £95 for a single will or £135 for a joint will, with a £70 suggested charge for a basic amendment.
“So many people still haven’t made a will,” said our Fundraising Manager Jack Kidder.
“Making a Will is the only way you can be sure that your wishes are carried out and your loved ones are provided for after your death.
“Not having a will can create problems after your death, but making a will is very easy and, by taking part in Will Month, you can help St Luke’s too so there really is no reason not to do it!”
