Sheffield's Night Striders will have some special support as they take to the streets in support of our care.
Night Strider – sponsored by Gripple - is our sponsored half marathon and 10k event that will light up the autumn darkness on the streets of Sheffield on Saturday 8 October and raise more than £100,000 for St Luke's.
And making sure that walkers remain refreshed and hydrated during the challenge, pit stops at the Millhouses pub on Abbeydale Road and at the Hunters Bar entrance to Endcliffe Park will be sponsored by Eadon Lockwood & Riddle and Irwin Mitchell.
The Millhouses are also entering a team to take part in the walk and helping to man the pit stop.
“The pit stops provide an important part of the support for our walkers throughout the evening and it’s fantastic that two of Sheffield’s best known names and one of its most popular pubs are supporting us in this way,” said St Luke’s Corporate Fundraising Manager Joasia Lesniak.
ELR Managing Director Chris Thomson commented: “ELR are delighted and excited to be involved with such a worthwhile charity that has helped so many families within the local area.”
Could you stride for St Luke's? Registration for Night Strider is open until Monday 3 October and costs £25 per person. Places are limited so sign up now to help make a difference to the lives of our patients.
