Staff and regulars at Sheffield’s Millhouses pub have set themselves the challenge of raising £10,000 for St Luke's.
Licensees Kaye Pigott and her sister Lisa were close friends of patient Andree Paul. Following Andree’s death, they decided to put a year of fundraising effort into supporting the charity.
They've signed up to our Raise a Glass campaign – the project that encourages pubs to support the hospice – and got their efforts off to a flying start with an evening of entertainment that raised an incredible £3,000.
“In just one evening Kaye, Lisa and their staff and customers got one third of their way towards reaching their target,” said our Community Fundraising Assistant, Noni Bryson.
“This was an evening of extreme generosity and we look forward to working with the Millhouses as they continue their fundraising campaign in the months ahead.”
