IT’S all aboard for a great cause as Sheffield’s celebrated Abbeydale Miniature Railway raised more than £2,000 for our patient care.
The much-loved railway system – operated by the Sheffield and District Society of Model and Experimental Engineers – supported our services with their recent Winter Night event, that brought in a final total of £2144.08.
Now a popular part of the group’s annual schedule, the 2023 Winter Night date is already confirmed for December 8.
“We are delighted that the Abbeydale Miniature Railway is such a keen supporter of the work we do,” said our Community Fundraiser Ellie Matthews.
“The railway really is a wonderful attraction and one that means so much to many Sheffield families and we are pleased that they are so keen to promote and raise money for the work of St Luke’s does, both at the hospice and in the wider community.”
