THEY may be a band of unruly brigands...but even the notorious Pirates of Penzance have a good side!
Dore Gilbert and Sullivan Society celebrated their 50th anniversary with a revival of Gilbert and Sullivan’s classic musical comedy of bungling buccaneers and their Cornish adventures.
And during the show’s run at Sheffield’s Montgomery Theatre, the company raised a fantastic £873.39 for St Luke’s as we too celebrate our 50 anniversary in 2022.
“We are delighted that Dore Gilbert and Sullivan Society decided to make this a double anniversary celebration,” Said our Fundraising Account Manager Matthew Sheridan.
“Our thanks too to the company’s audiences, who gave so generously to St Luke’s at the end of every show.”
