ST Luke’s Lottery winners Gill and Graham Dalton knew exactly what to do when they won our £1,000 weekly top prize…they gave it straight back!
The couple, who live in Dronfield Woodhouse, have been playing the Lottery since 1994.
They did once win one of the game’s £5 prizes but they have never had the winning number for the weekly big prize.
And they were so delighted with their victory that they decided there was one obvious thing they should do with the prize.
“We’ve been playing ever since the days when a collector used to come to the door for our contribution,” said Graham.
“We’ve kept it going all these years and never thought much about it but when we won the big prize we thought it would be good to give it straight back to St Luke’s because we know all about the great work they are doing.”
The St Luke’s Lottery costs just £1 to play and has 102 guaranteed prizes each week, including a first Prize of £1,000 and starts at £375 and can reach a maximum of £15,000 before it is drawn.
Payment is by direct debit of £5 monthly and players must be aged 18 or over and live in Great Britain.
