THE team at Sheffield company Pricecheck are feeling in the pink after a colourful start to their Virtual Night Strider 2020.
2020 would have marked Night Strider’s sixth anniversary but when the COVID-19 pandemic took hold, a new plan had to be developed - and now Night Strider has gone virtual!
The Night Strider virtual challenge - with Pricecheck as one of the headline sponsors - has participants registering free of charge to do their own fundraising event any time between between now and Saturday October 31.
Getting the fundraising off to an eye catching start, Pricecheck launched its own month of activities with a dress down day that had everybody wearing St Luke’s pink!
And now employees across the company are being encouraged to sign up for Beat 100, a challenge that will see them raising further cash by doing everything from 100 minutes of exercise per week to competing in 100 quizzes.
Everybody pays £5 to take part and is encouraged to raise at least £20 in sponsorship too, with Pricecheck promising to match all sign up fees for successful challenges.
“We wanted to make sure we had something that everybody could get involved in by doing their own thing,” said Pricecheck Marketing Manager Chloe Staniforth.
“It’s all leading up to the end of October, when we will have a special Halloween dressing up day that will make a great climax to the month of fundraising.
“We have everybody from our managing directors to a new starter who only joined a week ago doing things and it’s not only good for St Luke’s but it’s also bringing the whole company together as a team.”
Our Head of Fundraising Joasia Lesniak commented: “Pricecheck are already making a massive contribution to Virtual Night Strider by being one of our main sponsors.
“But they have gone so much further by getting everybody involved, which is entirely what the spirit of Night Strider is all about.”
