ST Luke’s is going global with an online fashion event created by Sheffield stylist and designer Charlie Hawley.
The city born founder of fashion brand Charlie Lilly is currently living in South Africa.
But from her base in Johannesburg - and supported by her Sheffield friend Sam Sargent - Charlie has come up with an online style event that will support both St Luke’s and Cavendish Cancer Care.
Her new fashion platform, Eye For Style Events, will be going live on video conferencing platform Zoom on July 29 at 7.30pm for 60 minutes of style, fashion, cocktails and magic.
And one of the major highlights of the evening will be some expert advice on how to turn clothing items bought from our shops into a chic fashion statement.
“I set up Eye for Style Events because I want to create events around the world that support inspirational charities through style and fashion,” said Charlie.
“We team up with passionate people from across the world and create opportunities for them to create fashion shows using charity shop or donated items and volunteer models.
“At an event, customers can purchase the items on show but most importantly they get to see the incredible items you can find with a little digging in charity shops.”
The July 29 event - supported by Gripple - is being presented by Zoom host, actor and model Kathi DeCouto and coordinated by ‘Sam Sargent, with a cocktail making session by Barry Starmore of Sheffield boutique and bespoke off-licence Starmore Boss and some special online entertainment by internationally acclaimed city magician Tom Wright.
Eye For Style Events are non-profit events and raise money directly for the charities,” said Charlie.
“We are dedicated to creating inspiring opportunities for people to have fun and raise money for charities that are close to their hearts.
“St Luke’s is such a wonderful charity and I want to always support them and the amazing work they do.
“Cavendish is also very close to me, having visited twice over four years with my mum and sister through my sister’s breast cancer diagnosis.”
