BODY Shop At Home consultant Rosie Wordsworth has encouraged her customers to join her in supporting our nursing team.
Rosie has personal experience of the outstanding levels of St Luke’s service as her grandmother was a patient at the end of last year.
And knowing for herself just how hard the whole St Luke’s team works, she decided to make her own contribution to staff who are continuing to provide outstanding patient support throughout the Coronavirus pandemic.
Using her Facebook page, Rosie contacted customers and friends and requested cash donations with which she then ordered a stock of Body Shop hand creams, which were delivered direct to the hospice.
“My grandma passed away in St Luke’s in November so I actually witnessed the amazing work the St Luke’s staff do,” she said.
“I’m also a care assistant myself and have worked at St Luke’s too so it is somewhere that is close to me and my family.
“There wasn’t anything the staff wouldn’t do for us in those final days, they were there for us every step of the way at a difficult time and that’s why I wanted to give something back at this difficult time for them.”
