YOU could say it with flowers…or you could wish your favourite health care professionals a Merry Christmas with a tradition chocolate treat!
Westfield Health and the Department of Work and Pensions have donated 200 chocolate oranges to the staff of St Luke’s Hospice as their way of saying thank you at the festive season.
The chocolate oranges are donated every year as part of a national scheme established to celebrate staff working for healthcare organisations over Christmas.
“It was a real pleasure to donate the chocolate oranges to St Luke’s staff this year,” said Louise Fieldsend of Westfield Health.
“St Luke’s is very close to my heart and to be able to say just a little thank you for all the amazing work done by all the staff and volunteers was amazing.”
St Luke’s Corporate Fundraising Manager Jack Kidder added: “This is a most wonderful and thoughtful gesture and one that everybody at St Luke’s really appreciates.
“Christmas really is a time for sharing and we are so pleased that the teams from both Westfield Health and the Department of Work and Pensions have thought about us at this very special time of the year.”
