TWO top Sheffield companies will be donning our distinctive colours as they join the starting line for the Asda Foundation Sheffield Half Marathon.
Teams from HLM Architects and BresMed are both competing on behalf of our patients at the popular April 14 event.
The BresMed team are fundraising in memory of their friend and colleague, Helen Beard.
Helen’s husband Steve - who is also BresMed’s Chief Business Development Officer – said: “I can’t emphasis enough how important St Luke’s is as a place for patients and families.
“It’s an incredible cause to be raising money for and I am very proud of the BresMed team and their efforts.
“This is a great way to reflect Helen’s fighting spirit and to make a meaningful difference.”
HLM runner Mick Spencer said: “We are delighted to be running for St Luke’s again this year and it’s an honour to wear their colours in the Sheffield Half Marathon.”
St Luke’s Corporate Fundraising Manager Jack Kidder commented: “We are delighted that both these great companies are putting in teams to raise money for us.
"The money they raise really will make an enormous difference to the lives our all St Luke’s patients and their families.”
