IT’S hard hats and boots today for the team at BAM Construction…but it won’t be long before they’re stepping out in their glad rags for the St Luke’s Hospice Enchanted Winter Ball.
BAM Construction Ltd is the company building the first phase of Heart of the City II, one of Sheffield’s key economic projects, which will provide office, retail and restaurant space in the city centre.
They have chosen Sheffield’s only hospice as their charity partner for the duration of the build, which is scheduled for completion in 2019.
And they have now confirmed that they will be the sponsor of the live entertainment at the hospice’s Enchanted Winter Ball, which comes to the Pond’s Forge International Sports Centre on November 24.
John Phillips, regional director for BAM in the North East, said: “BAM has been building in Sheffield for more than 20 years and we’re committed to enhancing lives in the city.
“On our Heart of the City ll project we’ve provided opportunities for around 300 local people through apprenticeships, work placements and other education opportunities.
“We’re really pleased to have St Luke’s Hospice as our charity partner on the project, as we know how important their work is to the people of Sheffield.”
St Luke’s Senior Corporate Fundraising Manager Joasia Lesniak commented: “We are delighted that once again BAM Construction have decided to give us their support.
“Our ball is one of the biggest events of our 2018 calendar but it would not be happening without the support of companies like BAM.”
Tickets to the Enchanted Winter Ball cost £100 each or £1,000 for a table of ten. For further information visit www.stlukeshospice.org.uk
