TELEVISION gardening expert Jonathan Moseley has added a touch of floral colour to St Luke’s with a donation of hundreds of exotic orchids.
The BBC Big Allotment Challenge judge used more than 5,000 of the delicate plants to create a display of 100 varieties at the RHS Chatsworth Flower Show.
And when the show came to an end, Jonathan donated a whole van full of the flowers to St Luke’s.
The plants were then put on sale for staff, patients and visitors..
“We were very pleased that Jonathan thought to support us in this way,” said St Luke’s Director of Income Generation Kathryn Burkitt.
“The orchids are now adding a splash of colour to many desks and bedsides throughout the hospice.”
