REGULARS at Nether Edge pub the Cherry Tree demonstrated their community spirit when they supported our patient care.
The pub in Brincliffe Edge had been threatened with closure but has now been recognised by Sheffield Council as an asset of community value, meaning the owners cannot demolish or convert the premises without planning permission.
St Luke’s charity shop staff held a get together at the pub and were delighted when staff and regulars held an impromptu collection in support of our work.
“There was a real sense of community to the evening,” said our Area Retail manager Chris Quinlan.
“Pubs like the Cherry Tree are a valuable and much appreciated source of support to St Luke’s.”
