Take on the thrill of an abseil at the historic Millers Dale Viaduct and support St Luke’s Hospice!
High above the stunning Peak District, you’ll be in safe hands with the expert Dolomite instructors. They’ll talk you through everything and put you at ease before asking you to step up to the edge. As you descend, they’ll guide and support you until you’re confident enough to take full control yourself. With a safety back-up rope attached at all times, this is one of the safest outdoor adventures you can experience - making it the perfect way to challenge yourself while raising vital funds for hospice care.

- Suggested Fundraising Target: £150pp*
*While the suggested fundraising target for taking on this challenge is £150, it’s not a strict requirement. We simply ask participants to raise as much as they can to help cover costs and support the vital work of St Luke’s. Every pound makes a difference, and we’ll be here to support your fundraising every step of the way. Please get in touch if you have any questions.
Practical information
Minimum Age: 12 years (anyone under 18 must be accompanied by a responsible adult)
Participant Size Limits: Harness fits up to a 145 cm waist and 90 cm thigh
Please come dressed for the weather and outdoor conditions. Avoid jeans and, where possible, opt for non-cotton layers. We advise you to bring a waterproof jacket if rain is forecast as this is an outdoor activity.
Car parking is available - please allow plenty of time for parking as weekends can be busy. There are toilets on site, and the Café is usually open from 10am on weekends.
