MEMBERS of Lindrick Artisans Golf Club raised £1,700 for St Luke’s when they took to the greens for a special sporting challenge.
The President’s Charity Day – hosted by Artisans’ president Jeffrey McClure – saw 12 teams teeing off and raising money for Sheffield’s only hospice.
“My mum Lily was a patient at St Luke’s 41 years ago and even though that’s a long time now we have never forgotten the care she received and we are very pleased that we raised so much,” Jeffrey said.
St Luke’s Community Fundraiser Ellie Matthews added: “We are delighted that Lindrick Artisans thought of us and that their golf day was such a great success.
“The money they raised really will make a massive difference to the lives of our patients and their families.”
