HEALTH and beauty specialists Savers are helping to keep our staff and patients stocked with essential toiletries.
The Sheffield Haymarket branch of the shop chain has been asking customers to make donations of items like hand sanitisers, body wash, soaps, toothpaste, lip balm and tissues to St Luke’s.
And the scheme is proving so successful that the scheme is now scheduled to extend to the Savers store in Hillsborough.
Assistant store manager Kayleigh Oldfield explained: “We set up a donation basket by the tills in Haymarket and the response has been really good.
“My nanna died in a hospice so I know exactly how important their work is and because St Luke’s has a shop right opposite our Hillsborough branch, it was an obvious connection.
“We’ve already got perhaps ten or 11 bags full of products to deliver and it’s an ongoing thing so there should be even more.
“They’re all the sort of items which we feel could be very useful to both staff and patients right now.”
