THE Meadowhall branch of chocolatier and cocoa grower Hotel Chocolat has brought a touch of luxury to our patients and staff.
Rather than see chocolate go to waste during the Covid-19 lockdown, the Hotel Chocolat team decided to donate perishable stock to a good cause.
Store manager Samuel Newton’s partner, Samantha Sims, is a solicitor with regular St Luke’s supporter, Taylor and Emmet.
Samantha suggested that the unused chocolate products might help lifts spirits for the hospice’s staff and patients.
“We hope the patients and staff enjoy the donation,” said Samuel as he made the delivery. “We can’t think of anyone more deserving!”
Our Corporate Fundraising Manager Jack Kidder said: “We have been deeply touched by the way that so many people are thinking about our patients and our medical teams at this very difficult time.”
“This generous donation will help keep spirits high - it’s both a morale booster and an energy booster!”
