THEY put their best feet forward, strode out on a challenging six mile course over the hills to the north of Sheffield…and raised more than £1,000 for our patient care.
The Sheffield Walkers challenge saw 24 people taking part in the walk which finished with a barbecue and music at the Travellers’ Inn at Oxspring, with a final sponsorship total of £1,348.
“Over the past 18 months, a few friends and members of the group have experienced cancer and one member sadly passed away,” said our Community Fundraising Assistant Morven Keay.
“The group felt St Luke’s was the cause they wanted to give back to and we are delighted that they chose to remember their friends in this positive way.”
