AS Dave Smith prepares to retire from his post as Area Director South Yorkshire, Lincolnshire & Humberside for TSB Bank, he is encouraging friends and colleagues to join him in one last fundraiser for one of his favourite charities.
Dave, who has been with the bank for 38 years, has been offering extensive support to St Luke’s in Sheffield since 2015, supporting the partnerships between St Luke’s and the Meadowhall, Abbey Lane and Sheffield branches, taking part in the 2017 Yorkshire 3 Peaks Challenge, running the Sheffield 10K and cycling between all the branches in his area on one day.
In addition he has organised volunteers, item donations to the shops and encouraged support from colleagues, clients and customers.
And that amount of enthusiasm and effort has raised thousands of pounds for our patient care.
Now, as a special farewell, he is asking colleagues, friends and family to join him for a walk between Worksop and Retford this Saturday, covering a distance of approximately 10 miles and once again raising money for St Luke’s.
“I’ve thoroughly enjoyed being involved in fundraising for this great charity and I’d like to take this opportunity to thank all the people who have helped to raise so much money,” said Dave.
“I’m hoping to continue with that support for St Luke’s into the future as I know how important it is for us all to get behind this great organisation.”
