MINI sports star Harrison Hooper proved he has the championship spirit as he created his own triathlon in support of our patient care.
The Chesterfield nine-year-old decided to put in three times the effort as he raised money in memory of grandad Phil Jowitt, who was one of our patients.
And by completing a challenge that saw him swim 400 metres and then bike four kilometres and run an extra four kilometres, he managed to raise £585.
“St Luke’s were fantastic with the whole family and Harrison decided he wanted to give something back to them,” said proud mum Alexandra Hooper.
Our Community Fundraising Manager Megan Senior added: “Harrison’s incredible adventure shows very clearly that you’re never too young to make a difference.
“We are so proud of what Harrison has achieved on our behalf and he knows that every penny raised will make an enormous difference to the lives of our patients.”
