DEDICATED St Luke’s Hospice supporter Alice Ford and her
friends raised more than £4,000 when she organised a special family fun day.
Held at the Jubilee Sports Club in Claywheels Lane at
Wadsley Bridge, the day’s activities kicked off with a football match between
supporters of Sheffield Wednesday and Sheffield United.
There was also a pizza oven, homemade cakes, face painting,
a bouncy castle, bar, music and raffle – raising a final total of £4,300.
“This was an incredible fundraising effort and we are
extremely proud of Alice and her friends,” said St Luke’s Community Fundraising
Manager Megan Senior.
“To have raised so much with just one event is a phenomenal
achievement and one that will make a massive difference to the lives of St
Luke’s patients and their families.”
