High flyer Jean shows age is no obstruction to fundraising success

YOU’RE never too old for new experiences…as high flying volunteer Jean Cholerton has demonstrated.

Jean has been a volunteer at the St Luke’s  Ecclesall Road shop for the past 17 years.

But when she heard of a new way of raising money for her favourite charity, the 86-year-old daredevil couldn’t wait to reach for the skies.

And her first attempt at a tandem sky dive raised a fantastic £2,263 towards our patient care.

“Extraordinary people like Jean are the thing that make St Luke’s so special,” said our Fundraising Assistant Zoe Manders.

“Jean is already such a loyal supporter of everything we do but taking part in a sky dive really showed how dedicated she is.”
