VETERAN broadcaster and St Luke’s patron Sir Martyn Lewis helped raised £5,800 for our services when he was the special guest of the Sheffield Club.
The Sheffield Club provides a forum for the encouragement of contacts between its members, through regular lunches and special networking events.
And Sir Martyn joined the organisation for a special lunch in support of our patient care at popular city restaurant Baldwin’s Omega.
“Guests enjoyed Sir Martyn’s stories of working in journalism and also his impassioned speech about how important hospice care is in Sheffield and the UK,” said our Community Fundraising Manager Megan Senior.
“We are delighted that The Sheffield Club invited him to be their guest speaker and that the event raised such a great sum for our continued patient care.”
