STAFF from Sheffield technologies and engineering consultancy, Waldeck have raised £2,000 for our patient care after completing a tough cycling challenge.
The six team members had set themselves a target of £1,000 as they prepared to take part in the Prologis Hundred Mile Cycle Challenge and they were delighted when they managed to double the amount.
And the money is all going to St Luke’s, where Waldeck Director of Digital Design Ged Smith was a patient as he battled a long term illness before his death earlier this year.
“The Prologis Challenge features a 100 mile route around Warwickshire and proved a real endurance test for the team,” said our Corporate Fundraising Manager Jack Kidder.
“We are so pleased that the Waldeck team, having seen at first-hand what our work means for our patients and their families, chose to support us in the way.”
Paul Waldeck, Waldeck founder and CEO, said: “I am extremely proud of the team for not only completing the gruelling challenge of cycling 100 miles through the varied terrain, but also raising such a massive amount of money for such a worthy cause, which is very close to our hearts.”
