THEY’RE building the future of Sheffield city centre…and they’re also making a massive contribution to the future of St Luke’s!
BAM Construction Ltd are the company working on Sheffield Retail Quarter Phase 1, which is a brand new office building with retail space, restaurant space and high quality public realm.
And they have chosen us as their charity partner for the duration of the build, which is scheduled for completion in 2019.
Throughout the coming months they will be running various onsite activities including dress down days, staff barbecues and involving the other project stakeholders.
To cement the partnership, our of Fundraising Kathryn Burkitt and Corporate Fundraising Manager Jack Kidder met Simon Pratt, Senior Planner at BAM, for a tour of the Pinstone Street site.
“As BAM work on building the future of Sheffield city centre we are delighted that they are also committing to the future of St Luke’s,” said Jack.
“Not only are the company undertaking a wide range of fundraising activities but we will also be able to utilise the site to promote the partnership visually, reminding people of the great work St Luke’s is doing for all the people of Sheffield.”
Simon Pratt, Senior Planner at BAM Construction, said: “We believe that it’s not just what you build, but how you build that counts. Construction is a great opportunity to add something back beyond the concrete and steel, and we can build opportunities for people too. I’m delighted we’re able to help in this way.”
