SHEFFIELD independent department store Atkinsons is celebrating its 145th birthday with a special gift for St Luke’s.
As part of a year-long partnership, the company has launched a series of collection stations throughout the store where customers can donate change or tokens provided by Atkinsons for every £20 spent and which guarantee a donation from Atkinsons.
And the aim is to raise at least £1,450 for our patient care, with other special fundraising events taking that total even higher.
“Atkinsons is one of Sheffield’s best known and loved brands and we are delighted that they have chosen us as their charity for this very special anniversary year,” said our Corporate Fundraising Manager Jack Kidder.
“We thank not only Atkinsons but also their loyal customers for helping to get this fundraising campaign off to an excellent start and we are confident that this will be an extremely successful relationship.”
Atkinsons Store Manager David Cartwright commented: “Over the years Atkinsons has supported St Luke’s and we are delighted as part of our 145th Anniversary celebrations to have chosen them to be our official charity partner as it is very important to us to show support for such a worthwhile cause.”
