RUNNER Lynn Strafford is celebrating after landing herself a second place in the Virgin Money London Marathon – and raising more than £1,000 for St Luke’s.
It wasn’t just her final total of £1,100 which impressed but also a finish time of three hours and 45 minutes, which means she will now qualify to take part in the 2018 ‘Good for Age’ category.
Lynn was one of a team of St Luke’s runners taking part in the world famous sporting event, raising a combined total of more than £3,500 towards our patient care.
“Lynn is an outstanding example of just how far people will go to support our patients,” said our Community Fundraising Manager Megan Senior.
“We’d like to thank all our Virgin Money London Marathon runners for their dedication and enthusiasm.”
