Eight people, one dog and some of the most challenging hills in the Peak District…that’s what it takes to raise more than £1,000 towards our care.
The team of walkers from Sheffield company Swann Morton – and their four legged friend - took part in a 12 mile sponsored Derbyshire walk in support of the work we do, taking in Mam Tor, Back Tor, Lose Hill and Win Hill.
And together with the proceeds of a bake sale at the company’s headquarters in Owlerton, they raised a final total of £1,178.20.
“This was a fantastic result and one that really does make an enormous difference to the lives of our patients,” said St Luke’s Corporate Fundraising Manager Joasia Lesniak.
“It’s thanks to the continued support of companies like Swann Morton that we are able to maintain our support for people throughout Sheffield, both in the hospice and in the wider community.”
