Last orders for historic Sheffield pub items going under the hammer for St Luke’s.
Sheffield pub The Rising Sun is auctioning off parts of its heritage, in support of our care.
The Abbey Lane pub dates back to the 18th century and recently underwent an extensive refurbishment and now items from the pub’s past will be sold to the highest bidders at an next month.
106 items will go under the hammer from 6pm on Sunday 21 February - including beer pump clips, advertising signage and mirrors, brass jugs, tankards, pictures and ceramics.
The pub’s general manager, Jodie Hodgkinson, said: “It is all stuff that had been collected over the years and was part of the decoration at the Rising Sun until we had a major refit in November.
“We suspect some of it might be worth quite a bit, though some of it might only be of sentimental value but if you want a piece of the pub this is a great time to come along and see what’s for sale.”
Auction lot books will be available on the night for £2.00 and interested bidders can view the items at the pub between 5.30pm and 6pm on the night. All items won in the auction must be purchased by cash or cheque on the night.
